In the days leading up to Christmas, there is no doubt Erna Beach of Beatrice will be busily finishing the last few details on wood carvings to give each family member and friend this season.
But, the hard work is worth it because it makes for a special gift with a personal touch.
“I would much rather have a homemade gift then a bought gift,” Beach said.
Each year, Beach creates an original piece of woodwork for each family member and friend on her list, she says. It allows her to share her talents with others.
(What a great idea. I have tried to do this myself. I did it this year by burning some CD's and giving them to friends and family. Before I get in trouble let me state these were CD's I had gotten a few years back from different ministries and you can no longer get a hold of them so it was legal to burn them.
