Matt Fitzpatrick never expected it to get this big.
When the 9-year-old fourth-grader first thought of starting Matt's Pets 4 Kids last spring, he simply wanted to help children in need.
But now stuffed animals are coming out of his ears.
"We were very surprised" at the response, said Matt's dad, Phil Fitzpatrick. "We've had a lot of fun with it."
Matt dreamed up his nonprofit after his dad won a stuffed animal at an arcade game last March. The family looked for another child who might want it, and then Matt thought of doing that sort of thing more often.
(Good for this 4th grader. He should be very proud and I bet his parents are too. Young people the Bible says not to let anyone look down on your youthfulness. Check out
1 timothy 4:12. Good for you Matt and good for your parents. I bet a lot of kids have been and will be blessed by your kindness. You are setting a good example for other kids and even for us adults. Read more about Matt
