Voting and Praying

I have been trying to post the following video over on You Tube since Tuesday so I thought I would post the written copy here.
This coming Tuesday, November 4th is election day. Do you know who you are going to vote for and are you basing that on who you think would be best for the nation and their views. Or are you basing on how a great speaker he is, or which candidate makes you feel better, or who will do the most for you. If you are going to vote for  a candidate and don’t know their views you should stay home on election day. You see I am one who doesn’t think it is great that we have more voters what we need are more informed voters.

Those of you who are people of faith I want ask you if you aren’t already to join me in praying for America and this election. No matter who you are supporting. God is the one who puts people in office and removes people from it, and keeps others from getting into office. Our power is limited at the voting booth but God’s power and the power of prayer has no power.

Don’t pray for one candidate or another to win. Pray for all those running for office. Pray the majority of voters will think about the safety Of America, our war with radical Islam, the moral  issues such as the right to life, and same sex marriage. Pray we will get the leadership we need not the leadership we deserve.

Pray above all that no matter what the people of God will keep their focus on a King and Kingdom not of this world. Pray for a spiritual change which has to come from God. No man or political party can start it or stop a God ordained spiritual change.

2 Chronicles 7:14  says  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
