(Some on the right including those who I have very high respect for are calling for people of faith and or those who follow so called family values to boycott McDonalds.)
"It is about McDonald's, as a corporation, refusing to remain neutral in the culture wars. McDonald's has chosen not to remain neutral but to give the full weight of their corporation to promoting the homosexual agenda, including homosexual marriage."
"McDonald's sponsored the 2007 San Francisco Gay Pride parade with a television commercial. In the ad, a McDonald's official brags that it is "a company that actively demonstrates its commitment to the gay and lesbian community."
(The above statements comes right off of the American Family Association web site who started this boycott. Now let me make it clear McDonalds is 100% wrong for supporting the sinful and immoral Pride parade, and they are also wrong for supporting same sex marriage. However I believe a boycott is the wrong action plan for those of us who don't agree with them. When you take part in a boycott your relationship with the people you are boycotting ends. Also too often some in the so called religious right act like boycotts can make people who don't follow our faith or values embrace our ideas on what is right and wrong. They don't. Same sex marriage is taking place because our culture has turned it's back on God and moral values. America needs a moral and spiritual change which can only come through God. We must pray for that. I plan to keep eating at McDonalds and praying for people in America including those who run this chain to be changed.)
